Zunko is high school student in her 2nd year. Her special ability is �Zunda Arrow� which transform any kinds of mochi into zunda-mochi. Her hobbies are archery and making cakes, particularly zunda-mochi. Her dream is to own her own "Zunda Caf�" in Tokyo, as well as a "Zunda Shop" in Akibahara. Her birthday is on October 27.
She was originally created to help promote the recovery of the T?hoku region, which was the region devastated on March 11, 2011, by a major earthquake and tsunami. Her character design is based on a Zunda mochi, a T?hoku specialty, which is a traditional sweet (rice cake) made of green soybean paste.

Zunkos clothing is also based off Zunda mochi. A short bio that was included in her strap says Zunko enjoys archery and making cakes and that her dreams for the future are to own her own cafe in Tokyo.

Satomi was born in Sendai, Miyagi, Japan on May 8, 1986. She is also well known for her performance as Ritsu Tainaka from the Japanese anime music show "K-ON!".
