tactile familiarity just replaced my BlackBerry My BlackBerry died. Kept shorting out, in a sense--constantly restarting. I spent a while looking at Android phones, including the new "BlackBerry killer", the Motorola Android Droid Pro on Verizon with the same form factor as a BlackBerry. But I ended up replacing my BlackBerry Tour with the Bold, essentially the same phone. Why? When smartphones become such an extension of ourselves, its hard to convert to a different kind of tactile experience. Body part upgrade and replacement isnt easy. My fingers are so used to the BlackBerry keys that even switching to a BlackBerry-like device such as the Droid Pro just didnt feel right, literally. download  file  now

Sync e mail etc on your BlackBerry to Outlook Two friends have asked me how to sync their mail on BlackBerry without a BlackbEnterprise Server or hosted BES account. And theyve said theyre committed to Microsoft Outlook. So besides telling them to dispense with Outlook (which many would say) heres what I recommend: 1. Run all your mail through GMail--if you arent using GMail, forward all your mail to a GMail account. You can continue to use Outlook or the equivalent and get your mail from GMail through an IMAP (rather than POP3) protocol. IMAP can be enabled just like POP3 when you set up a new mail account in Outlook (or the equivalent). With IMAP, everything on Outlook will be in sync with GMail, because thats what IMAP does (versus POP3). Within GMail you can specify a return address for each of the e-mail accounts that you have, so if you have work and personal e-mail addresses, and set yourself up to get those e-mails through GMail, you can also reply from the e-mail address that ...

If you like traditional task management systems (like in Outlook) but want integration instead with GMail and your BlackBerry or iPhone, this is The One. Free version for the Web. Pro version for $25 a year provides the mobile-sync. Take a look: LINK. And if your life is superfractured among multiple platforms, seems to work perfectly back to Outlook (via your BlackBerry) if youre on a BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
