Torneios de games distribuem US 6 9 milhões em prêmios em 2011



Dados do site ProGamingTours contabilizam 259 eventos e 14 jogos.

Campeonatos de StarCraft 2 premiaram quantia total de US$ 2,5 milh�es.

Durante 2011, 259 torneios de games distribu�ram US$ 6.898.580 milh�es em pr�mios a seus competidores no mundo todo, segundo levantamento do site ProGamingTours (veja a tabela de torneios ).

O portal acompanha campeonatos de "eSport", ou "esporte eletr�nico", do mundo inteiro. Os eventos n�o necessariamente s�o patrocinados pelas desenvolvedoras dos games.
Torneios do game de estrat�gia �StarCraft 2�, da Blizzard, foram os que mais premiaram, concedendo cerca de US$ 2,5 milh�es aos participantes durante o ano de 2011. Tamb�m teve o maior n�mero de campeonatos: 136.

Em segundo lugar ficou �Defense of the Ancients 2�, conhecido como �DotA 2�, com quase US$ 1,7 milh�es em dez campeonatos no per�odo -- a maior parte do evento DotA 2 International, que teve pr�mio de US$ 1,6 milh�o. O game de estrat�gia, ainda em vers�o beta, ser� lan�ado oficialmente pela Valve em 2012.

�Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3�, jogo de tiro publicado pela Activision, ficou em terceiro lugar, com pr�mio de US$ 1 milh�o em apenas um campeonato, o Call of Duty XP.

Os outros t�tulos com campeonatos monitorados pelo site s�o �Battlefield 3�, �Bloodline Champions�, �Call of Duty 4�, �Call of Duty: Black Ops�, �Counter Strike 1.6�, �CSS�, �Heroes of Newerth, �League of Legends�, �Quake Live�, �Team Fortress 2� e �TrackManya 2 Canyon�.
