Tor Browser 6 0 6 is Available Now Install on Ubuntu Linux Mint Derivatives

Tor Browser 6.0.6 is available now, This release is updating Firefox to 45.5.0esr. Moreover, other components got an update as well: Tor to 0.2.8.9, HTTPS-Everywhere to 5.2.7, and OpenSSL to 1.0.1u.

Tor Browser Bundle is a free and platform-independent application designed to allow users to browser the Web anonymously through the powerful Tor network on the Linux, Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems, without the need to use any third-party software.

Features at a glance
It is a portable software, allowing users to use directly from a USB flash drive, running a pre-configured web browser to protect their anonymity. The Tor software is the key component of Tor Browser Bundle, protecting users by bouncing their communications around a distributed network of relays, which are run by volunteers all around the world.

The Tor Project team fixed a lot of usability bugs, some caused by Apples macOS Sierra (meek did not work anymore and windows could not be dragged either). We moved directly to DuckDuckGo as our search engine avoiding a roundtrip to Disconnect.me first. Finally, we added a donation banner shown in some localized bundled starting on Nov 23 in order to point to our end-of-the-year 2016 donation campaign.
