What is my favorite game on the planet? My Takenoko Collectors Edition!
And guess what?! A Takenoko Chibis Collectors edition is being released! Man.. I need this so bad!!
Takenoko: Chibis Collector�s Edition contains all the fun of the expansion with astonishing components, including the adorable statue of Miss Panda and new tiles and objectives for renewed challenges.
I first heard about it on either redit ot BoardGameGeek and was shut down pretty fast when I found out that the offer to pre-order ended October 31st 2016 and that they dont have plans for a repeat offer in the future. Well I missed the boat on that one.
I looked into it further and learned that FunagainGames was selected as the fulfillment company on behalf of Surfin Meeple in the USA for it. I immediately messaged FunagainGames desperately begging for anything.. Add me to the wait list.. I will pay more.. whatever..
Unfortunately they could not help me but they did point me in (I think) the right direction. They told me to contact Ilo307 as they are their Canadian partner. YES! A sign of hope! So of course I emailed them and this is the reply I received:
"Hi Amber,
Ilo307 is a distributor of games and toys. We sell to retailers, not to individuals. We expect to receive our Matagot container at the beginning of March. You need to contact your local game shop to place your Takenoko Chibi�s order.

Damnit! Sent on yet another goose chase. Ok so I messaged my local gaming store (Table Top Cafe in Edmonton, AB) and asked them to PLEASE pre-order this game for me.
They got back to me by asking me to email them my request (I had facebooked them), so that they could set a reminder for themselves and let me know that they dont have a price yet.
And thats it I think! Let the waiting game begin.
Also I should point out that Arnaud from FunagainGames had told me that there will only be 400 units available to the US market.. so who knows how many of those will actually end up in Canada *sad face*. I am crossing my fingers that I get one!

Update March 17, 2017:
I messaged Brian from my local store to see if he has heard anything yet because I saw on BGG that FunagainGames was packing and getting ready to ship their copies out & that they opened up more available order spots.
I received this reply:
"Hi Amber, I literally just got the updated price list from that company and the only chibis listed are the regular ones. Still no clue when the deluxe are coming. Sorry"
*sigh* Soon maybe.
