Tentu saja kita menginginkan teknologi security yang cukup aman agar dapat melindungi data-data penting kita sehingga tidak mudah diakses oleh orang lain. Salah satu teknologi security yang cukup aman yaitu Fingerprint dimana teknologi ini membutuhkan sidik jari dari sang pemilik sebagai verifikasi keamanan. Untuk saat ini teknologi Fingerprint telah disematkan untuk perangkat Smartphone yang siap melindungi data-data penting di smartphone kita. Tapi bagaimana jika teknologi ini juga disematkan untuk perangkat Laptop ataupun Desktop anda?


Dalam ajang Computex 2016 beberapa waktu lalu, Synaptics memperkenalkan sebuah Dongle USB Fingerprint yang dapat berguna untuk mengamankan Laptop ataupun Desktop anda. Cara kerja dari USB Fingerprint ini hampir sama dengan teknologi Fingerprint di perangkat Mobile kita, cuma bedanya karena USB Fingerprint ini merupakan sebuah Dongle USB yang tidak terintegrated langsung dengan Laptop atau Desktop kita.

Fingerprint sendiri juga sudah terdapat untuk perangkat Laptop namun hanya untuk laptop Ekslusif saja, jadi dengan USB Fingerprint ini anda sekarang juga dapat menikmati teknologi security Fingerprint untuk perangkat Laptop atau Desktop milik anda sendiri. Yang paling penting untuk diperhatikan adalah USB Fingerprint ini didesain untuk sistem biometrik di Windows versi terbaru saja.

Synaptics sendiri berencana untuk memproduksi USB Fingerprint ini pada Q4 tahun ini dan untuk akan tersedia di pasaran pada awal tahun 2017 mendatang.
